Web access is still available on the free Standard plan, but the mobile app is paid-only going forward.

What Actually Changed on June 1, 2026

TalkingParents notified free-tier users in April that the mobile apps for iOS and Android would no longer be available on the free Standard plan starting June 1. The free web app at talkingparents.com still works, but you can no longer message, view your shared calendar, or check Accountable Payments from your phone without paying.

Per-parent pricing also matters here: TalkingParents bills each parent separately. A family with two parents on the Premium plan is paying roughly $360 per year combined. Add the Ultimate plan and you're past $700.

Option 1: Upgrade and Stay

If your court order specifically names TalkingParents (some do), or if you've been using it for years and your records are central to active litigation, paying may be the lowest-friction choice. Standard mobile access starts at $14.99/month per parent; Premium is $19.99; Ultimate is $32.

Before you pay, check your custody order. Most orders that require a "documented communication app" do not name a specific product — they require any tool with court-admissible records. That makes Option 2 viable for most families.

Option 2: Export and Switch

You can still export your full TalkingParents history from the web app while you're on the free Standard plan. Do this before you cancel anything:

• Log into talkingparents.com on a desktop browser.
• Go to Records → Message Records.
• Select the full date range and download the PDF (free, watermarked but court-admissible).
• Repeat for Calendar Records and Accountable Payments.
• Save copies to two locations (cloud + local) before you stop paying or delete the account.
